Our Mission:
A project of QC Hillel, Tribe Magazine is a collaborative effort to engage Jewish students from Queens College and around the world in an online literary forum. The magazine is operated by a student staff and encourages students of all backgrounds to actively participate in discussion of a wide range of topics relevant to both student and Jewish life.
Tribe Magazine is divided into four main sections:
- Student Perspectives- College life can be new and exciting for many students. In this section, students express their experiences, aspirations, and opinions on student culture, campus life, and community in general.
- Creative Writing- A free space and open forum to showcase your creative abilities. Share a story, poem, song, or recipe. Its entirely up to you!
- Opinions- This section is a springboard for students and other readers to express their views on relevant and interesting topics in a blog style forum.*
- Torah- The Torah reflects the ancient customs and traditions of the Jewish people and is a cornerstone of Judaism. Our Parsha D’vrei Torah essays follow the weekly Torah portions and offer insight into the world of Jewish thought. Seasonal articles may also discuss holiday-related topics.
