The spread of uncertainly to matters that have been previously evaluated through a clinical method of inquiry and whose bases in solid common sense and cause have been proven would be a regression of understanding. Kant provides the example of a pastor whose duty you should instruct and guide his flock according to the mark of the chapel he provides, although he may have concerns about the interpretation of that symbol or perhaps the execution of certain religious and chapel matters (Kant). An issue that correlates using this type of example is a claim of illegitimate restrictions of knowledge in one generation -- or in this instance, religious power - to the next.
